In the same year she moved to Boston and she joined to New England Sports Network (NESN). She was former lead anchor of news program SportsDesk. Hazel was on this job four years, from 2004 to 2008.
Hazel was chosen to host two shows: Boston Bruins Top 10 and The Ultimate Red Sox Show. She lead SportsDesk while she was host on this shows. This made her very popular and she was almost winner at election for the president of Red Sox Nation.
In 2008, Hazel become part of MLB Network. On this channel she had appearance in several series and shows, such as 30 Clubs in 30 Days, Hot Stove and MLB Tonighit. In 2011, she and Matt Yaloff became hosts of program The Rundown.
In the same year at September she returned to Sportsnet. At first she was anchor of the SportsNet Connected. Now she is anchor of Toronto Blue Jays games on Sportsnet.

Hazel have a son with her husband Kevin Barker. Kevin is former of Major League Baseball and he is retired now. He played for San Diego, Toronto, Milwaukee and Cincinnati. Now he is colleague with his wife on SportsNet Network as host of show of baseball.
